Congressmen give it up

Did you know that Congressmen do not participate in the social security system? Why? Because it is not good enough. Theirs is sweet! They receive there salary for life. As of January 1st, that is $169,600 per year of $14,133 per month. Compare this to what you are receiving or projected on drawing at retirement age. At best around $1,400 or 10% of what the Congressmen draw.

Nothing new, Congress almost always exempt themselves from the various laws they pass. As the saying goes “if you thought taxation without representation is bad, you should see it with it”. There should be term limits on how long they can serve and much less profitable retirement plans
